luncheonette, en booth - sophie robinson

Emotions sloppy, I change as if orange,
Cocooned in light, drinking soda with the
Vivisectionists of winter. I am an
Overweight fool, a sideways fool, shooting
Darkness, a plateful of sherbert in my
Lap, the drowsy waitress wriggling sloppily
On the floor beside me in flats, footless
Tights, hiding away all the drowsy dogs
That, come Saturday, shall snap around your
Ankles once again, having scammed away
Their dog days out back, ceaselessly, alone.
